Long-standing Japanese distributor, Good Smile International and antimicrobial technology provider Byotrol have signed a new licensing agreement to secure the continued distribution of products containing Byotrol technologies in Japan until 2026.
Good Smile and its subsidiary G-Science have been key international distributors of Byotrol products for over 15 years. Leaders from Good Smile visited Byotrol at its head office in Chester to sign the new agreement in person and plan for the future expansion of the portfolio.
Good Smile International began distributing Byotrol products initially into consumer pet care and expanded sales of Byotrol into dental, food & beverage, and healthcare sectors in response to customer demand, establishing strong relationships with leading brands and distributors.
G-Science distributes Byotrol products into Japan’s vast human healthcare sector. There are an estimated 8,200 hospitals in Japan with over 1.5 million hospital beds and over 100,000 private clinics and almost 70,000 dental clinics, making Japan an attractive territory for Byotrol’s export sales.
Recent successes include receiving the approval of a Byotrol surface sanitising wipe from the Japanese Army, which uses the wipe to protect its ground forces. Long-standing customers in dental, high-performance sports, and healthcare have contributed to enviable sales growth in Japan, where Byotrol is synonymous with exceptional antimicrobial efficacy and long-lasting disinfection.
