Byotrol has today launched its next-generation range of professional surface disinfectant cleaners, under its market-leading ANIGENE brand, to animal health professionals at the London Vet Show, which takes place on 17th and 18th November at the ExCel in London.
Development of the new technology began after Byotrol’s acquisition of Medimark Scientific Ltd in 2018, and the new ANIGENE range of professional surface disinfectant cleaners is the result of several years of research and development, by its in-house team of hygiene experts, and hundreds of experiments. To complement the innovative new formulation, ANIGENE has undergone a significant branding update, which celebrates its status and long-standing history in animal health sector.
Supported by a robust data pack, with testing conducted to challenging European veterinary test methods, the formulation is a significant step forward for the animal health industry. ANIGENE professional surface disinfectant cleaners are effective against animal-specific pathogens including Canine parvovirus, Feline immunodeficiency virus, Feline calicivirus, Bordetella bronchiseptica, and Trichophyton mentagrophytes, and are ideal for environments where infection control is of the highest importance.
Current customers will be pleased to hear that the ANIGENE range has retained its best-selling fragrances, including Lavender, Apple, Dill, and Eucalyptus. Byotrol has also added a new Citrus fragrance to the range, which was selected as the clear winner from twelve options evaluated by industry panel testing, which the Byotrol team conducted at the British Small Animal Veterinary Association congress earlier in the year.
Key to the new range is DEFRA approval, which confirms the products are suitable for the management of outbreaks as well as general cleaning and disinfection. ANIGENE Un-fragranced, Citrus, and Dill variants have all been approved by DEFRA for General Orders and Poultry Orders. These approvals remove the need for additional biocidal products to be held on-site in case of outbreaks, removing portfolio complexity and offering significant cost benefits to users.
